Shades of yellow.
"The purpose of our lives is to be happy." - Dalai Lama
Life is shades of yellow - being content and happy is what life is all about. When you come to think of it, the one thing you want from everything and everyone is happiness. Happiness is loving yourself... It's doing what you love and being what you want to be.
Well, to say it in a sentence, life is a bundle of joy!
Happiness in Life...
A flower.
That's how I think happiness in life is.
You first plant a seed, then wait for it to sprout and grow leaves. A bud then grows and slowly blooms with each petal opening one by one to give you a beautiful, vibrant, fragrant flower. It's a long wait with a lot of ups and downs yet the end result will definitely be worth it. Yes, the flower does wither and fall in sometime but it is life's way of reminding us that "nothing lasts forever". While this may be true, remember, it's not the only flower on the tree - the tree of life.
The Secret of Happiness is Giving...
Happiness doesn't just stop with being happy yourself - it's about making others happy too. The joy of giving and helping others makes us happier but taking a lot of time and effort isn't the only way to make someone happy. Just a smile does it. A smile is a language beyond boundaries. You might not realize it, but when you make someone smile, it would have made their day (and yours) a whole lot better. These small, kind gestures and acts of generosity brings joy. They can go a long way and on this journey they might help someone restore their faith in humanity, just when they think all is lost.
So, put on a bright smile today and remember that happiness is the key to loving life, yourself and others around you!
